Established in 1970, our local PTA unit incorporated as a nonprofit entity following the passage of the Minnesota Nonprofit Corporation Act of 1989.

While our unit is incorporated as a nonprofit entity, our 501(c)(3) status is granted through an IRS group tax exemption provided to the Minnesota PTA, of which we are a subordinate.

The standing rules are specific to our local PTA unit. These are approved by a vote of the general membership and submitted to the state PTA every five years or when a change occurs.
